Yes — for the same person. Your licence key works on every device you install JuSenseSheet on (desktop, laptop, phone, tablet, a second computer). No per-seat fee, no device limit for one user. License validation is offline, so the same key keeps working regardless of device count. Note that data does not sync between devices automatically — see "Does my data sync between devices?" below.

No. A Pro licence is personal and non-transferable — it covers one person across their own devices, not multiple people. If two bookkeepers in the same office want to use JuSenseSheet, each needs their own licence. There's no team or site-licensing option. Licence validation is offline so there's no technical enforcement, but sharing breaches the Terms of Service. For team-licensing needs, email [email protected].

Yes. JuSenseSheet validates license keys entirely on your device — the app never contacts a JupiterSense server to check if your license is still valid. Even if JupiterSense stopped existing tomorrow, your installed copy would continue to work indefinitely. This is a deliberate architectural choice to protect you from vendor lock-in.

Entirely on your device. JuSenseSheet runs in your browser using IndexedDB for storage, encrypted with AES-256-GCM via the Web Crypto API. Your invoices, extracted data, and history never leave your computer. There is no JupiterSense cloud server holding your documents. Read the full architecture at /security.

No. None of the JupiterSense products upload your documents anywhere. JuSenseSheet processes PDFs entirely in your browser; SenseDedupe is a native Windows application that scans files locally. Your data isn't sent to JupiterSense, isn't sent to third-party OCR services, and isn't used for machine-learning training. The architecture is designed so we have no customer data to leak, sell, or subpoena.

No. No account is required to try, purchase, or continue using any JupiterSense product. The free tier works immediately with no signup. When you purchase a Pro license, you receive a key by email — paste it into the app and you're activated. No username, no password, no profile to maintain.

No. JuSenseSheet has no cloud, no account, and no server-side sync — each device keeps its own independent copy of your invoices and vendors in browser storage. The Pro licence works on every device, but the data does not. To move data between your own devices (new laptop, office desktop to home), use Settings → Backup & Restore: export a .jsbackup file on one device, copy it across, restore on the other. The backup itself can be password-protected. This is a deliberate trade-off — no sync is what lets the app stay private, offline-capable, and account-free.

Yes — opt-in via Settings → Security. When enabled, the entire local database is wrapped with a key derived from your password (PBKDF2-SHA256 100,000 iterations + AES-256-GCM), and the app prompts for it on every launch. Without a password, data is still encrypted on disk but anyone with access to your unlocked browser profile can open the app. Important: if you forget the password, your data cannot be recovered — there is no backdoor, no reset email, no support override. JuSenseSheet offers a downloadable recovery info text file at password setup so you can write the password down and store it safely.

Yes, by design. Because customer documents never leave the user's device, JupiterSense isn't a data processor for invoice content under GDPR — there's no processing by us to consent to or restrict. The website uses standard analytics in line with EU disclosure requirements; the apps themselves contain no telemetry. For firms handling regulated client data, JupiterSense's local-only architecture typically simplifies compliance rather than complicating it. Read the full privacy policy at /legal/privacy.

JuSenseSheet extracts data from PDF invoices — both digital (with a text layer) and scanned. Scanned invoices run through built-in offline OCR that covers English, German, Spanish, and French; the document's language is auto-detected so cross-border invoices work out of the box. Extracted data exports as CSV or Excel (.xlsx).

Yes. JuSenseSheet is a Progressive Web App (PWA). After your first visit the entire app is cached on your device and runs fully offline thereafter — on a plane, in a hotel with bad Wi-Fi, during an internet outage. You can extract invoices, review data, and export files with zero network connection.

JuSenseSheet handles invoices in English, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, and Portuguese. The user interface is localised across the same six languages. Multi-currency detection includes USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, and INR — currency is identified from the invoice itself, not guessed from your location.

No — this is deliberate. JuSenseSheet exports clean CSV or Excel files that you import into QuickBooks Online, Xero, or any other accounting system manually. This keeps the app simple, privacy-preserving, and independent of any specific bookkeeping platform. If your primary workflow depends on real-time sync with a specific accounting system, a full-featured subscription tool may suit you better; JuSenseSheet is designed for the lighter workflow of extract-and-import.

No, extraction is not perfect — you must review every extracted field before using the data. Regex-based deterministic extraction can misread, misinterpret, or miss fields, especially on scanned invoices or unusual layouts. The intended workflow is drop PDFs → extract → review with the Verify & Correct screen → export. JupiterSense does not guarantee extraction accuracy and is not liable for financial loss, tax penalties, audit findings, or any legal consequence arising from inaccurate extracted data — see Terms of Service sections 6, 11, 12. Final responsibility for every exported value rests with you or the qualified person you rely on.

Yes — in Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Opera. Pick an output folder once in Settings → Export location and JuSenseSheet writes exports directly into it, auto-organised by business (a batch for Acme Corp lands in your-folder/Acme Corp/). Your browser may ask for write permission the first time and occasionally after a restart. Safari and Firefox don't expose folder-picking to web apps yet — for those browsers, exports go to your standard Downloads folder.

Windows has no built-in duplicate file finder. SenseDedupe uses deterministic SHA-256 content hashing to find truly identical files regardless of filename, timestamp, or folder location — so renamed copies, download duplicates, and reorganised photo libraries are all caught. It includes a preview step before any deletion, handles any file type, and runs entirely offline with no cloud scanning. $29 one-time.

Every purchase is refundable within 14 days, with modest usage thresholds. For JuSenseSheet Pro: 14 days and fewer than 200 invoices processed on the Pro license. For SenseDedupe: a simpler 14-day window, no usage threshold. To request a refund, email [email protected] with your license key — no questions asked beyond verifying eligibility. Support is via email at [email protected]. Responses arrive within 24 hours on business days; most emails are answered much sooner. There is no phone support — as a solo-founder company, email gives every question the full attention it needs and leaves you with a written record you can return to later.

Email [email protected] from the same address you used to purchase. Your license key is deterministically tied to your email, so we can regenerate the same key you received originally — you don't lose access. There's no fee for key recovery.
